Job Description

A warm, welcoming, and highly engaged family in Westchester, NY is seeking a full-time nanny to provide thoughtful, attentive care for their growing household. This role is best suited for a nanny who leads with a calm, nurturing presence, enjoys working collaboratively with hands on parents, and can balance structure with flexibility.

The family has a baby nurse on staff that the nanny should plan to work alongside until their contract is up. The nanny will play a key role in maintaining consistency for the older children while integrating into a well-supported, team-oriented home.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Development

• Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for the children

• Support consistent daily routines while remaining adaptable to the family’s evolving needs

• Engage the children in age-appropriate activities including play, outdoor time, and enrichment

• Maintain a calm, positive, and structured environment

Household Collaboration

• Work closely and collaboratively with parents to ensure alignment in caregiving approach

• Partner with an experienced housekeeper to maintain a well-run home

• The intuition to know when to step in and step out of childcare duties throughout the day to accommodate the family. 

Child-Related Household Tasks

• Manage children’s laundry, wardrobe organization, and upkeep of belongings

• Maintain tidy and organized play areas, bedrooms, and common child spaces

• Assist with meal preparation for the children as needed

Additional Details

• There is a nanny vehicle available for use to accommodate school pick ups and drop offs. 
  
• The family is hoping their nanny will be open to traveling with them few times per year and also provide overnight care occasionally while the parents travel.
  

• This role is open to live in or live out candidates based on candidate preference. Live-in accommodations are available on a separate floor of the home, including a private bedroom and bathroom.

Compensation & Benefits

• $43–$48/hour, DOE

• Guaranteed 45 hours per week (including overtime structure) and up to 60 hours per week based on the needs of the family.
